Head of Product Development

Bespoke electromechanical systems, from concept to commissioned operation.

At Shelfbot, Eli leads product development—turning warehouse problems into manufacturable robotic systems. His strength is end-to-end ownership: mechanical and electrical design, custom PCBs and motion control, prototyping, design for manufacture, and on-site commissioning. It's a rare combination that lets Shelfbot move from concept to working hardware fast, and to production standards rather than lab prototypes.

Eli is a mechanical and mechatronics engineer with over six years delivering custom automation, robotics, and advanced additive manufacturing. He founded Extrudinaire, developing patent-pending industrial pellet-extrusion technology and the large-format 3D printers built around it, and has led engineering delivery on large-scale animatronics projects spanning concept design, fabrication, and commissioning. He holds a B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering (Honours) from Deakin University, where his work on machine design took first place and contributed to four peer-reviewed publications.
